FUGY O MARNOSTECH SVĚTA | English version below
Pro postní čas, k zamyšlení a rozjímání, jsme si pro vás připravili hudbu, která je našemu srdci obzvláště milá: Fugy o marnostech světa od Mauritia Vogta, cisterciáckého kněze. Hudební skladatel, teoretik a kartograf Mauritius Vogt (1669–1730) působil v klášteře v Plasích.
Tentokrát se zaposlouchejte do Fugy vrzavé o nedokonalosti, s jakou jsme tady na Zemi schopni muzicírovat: „… nad námi je něco jiného, co je posvátnější než vy, co cherubíni a serafíni ovládajíc všechny nástroje hrají v nebesích…!“

For the Lenten season, we have prepared for you one of our most beloved pieces: Fugues on the Vanities of the World by Father Mauritius Vogt (1669–1730), a priest, composer, theorist, and cartographer who worked at the Monastery in Plasy. This time, the Rattling Fugue, about the imperfection with which we are able to make music here on earth: “…above us is something else, more sacred than you, which cherubim and seraphim, mastering all instruments, play in heaven…!”
