Ensemble Inégal is a Czech baroque vocal-instrumental ensemble based in Prague. It was founded by its artistic director, organist and conductor Adam Viktora and soprano Gabriela Eibenova in 2000. Since that year it has performed at festivals such as Prague Spring, Musica Antiqua Brugge, Oude Muziek Utrecht, Lufthansa Festival of Baroque Music London, De Bijloke Gent, Early Music Festival Stockholm, BachFest Leipzig, Tage alter Musik Regensburg and many others. He has made 25 recordings that have received numerous awards, such as Diapason d’Or, International Record Review Outstanding, Goldberg 5Stars, etc. The ensemble regularly appears on Czech and foreign television and radio stations (BBC, European Broadcasting Union EBU, BR, Deutschlandradio Kultur, Czech Television, etc.).

Ensemble Inégal vznikl v Praze v roce 2000. Jedná se o všestranné hudební těleso, jehož interpretační záběr se pne od renesanční hudby až po hudbu současnou.
Ensemble Focus
Ensemble Inégal is a versatile musical ensemble whose performance range extends from Renaissance music to contemporary music. In addition to early music and works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Friedrich Händel, Antonio Vivaldi, Claudio Monteverdi and others, the ensemble has also performed innovative performances and recordings of Romantic (e.g. Antonín Dvořák, Gioacchino Rossini) and modern (e.g. Benjamin Britten, Arvo Pärt, Alfred Schnittke, Philip Glass) music.
Since 2007, Ensemble Inégal has been organising its own subscription series in Prague with three main dramaturgical starting points: the Czech Musical Baroque – Discoveries and Surprises, Music Visions and Ensemble Inégal for Children.
The Work of Jan Dismas Zelenka
The ensemble has set as its key mission the rediscovery and rehabilitation of the work and personality of Jan Dismas Zelenka. It has made 17 recordings with modern premieres of his major works, a total of almost 50 Zelenka compositions, which listeners have had the opportunity to hear for the first time in concerts and recordings performed by Ensemble Inégal. Since 2014, Ensemble Inégal has been organising the international Zelenka Festival Prague – Dresden dedicated to the legacy of this composer and during 2015 – 2021 also 7 editions of the musicological Zelenka Conference Prague.
Loutna česká
In 2014, the artistic director of the ensemble, Adam Viktora, was commissioned to reconstruct the most famous Czech Baroque work, the Czech Lute by Adam Václav Michna, based on previously unknown sources newly discovered by Czech musicologist Petr Daňek. In this reconstructed form, the work was published in print by Bärenreiter and regularly performed by Ensemble Inégal at festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad.
